What does it mean to choose an industrial product designed to stand the test of time? The answer can be found in the experience of our customers.

In early August 2026, a long-standing Armo dealer in Germany, with whom we have been working since the early 1980s, contacted us to request spare parts for an Armo platform installed in 1996.

Thirty years later, the platform is still mechanically operational. The request concerned several components of the system – including the electrical control panel, hydraulic power unit and hydraulic cylinder – which needed to be replaced to keep the platform in service.

Thirty Years Later, the Documentation Is Still Available

What makes this story remarkable is not only the longevity of the platform.

Upon receiving the request, we searched the Armo historical archives and were able to retrieve the original technical documentation for the 1996 installation, allowing us to identify the specifications required to source suitable equivalent spare parts available today.

The request was received on 4 August 2026. By 6 August, Armo was already able to provide a technical and commercial proposal for the equivalent replacement components.

This connection between past and present is made even more striking by the original order documentation, dating back to a time when prices in Germany were still quoted in Deutsche Marks.

Product Quality Can Still Be Measured 30 Years Later

This case is a tangible example of what we mean by long-term reliability.

And it is by no means an isolated case. Thousands of Armo products installed in Italy and abroad in the last century are still in service today.

It is the result of a philosophy that has guided us for more than fifty years: designing and manufacturing robust, reliable industrial solutions built to perform over time, backed by an after-sales service capable of supporting our customers many years after installation.

As part of the summer holiday period, ARMO would like to inform its customers, partners and suppliers that our offices and production facilities will be closed from Saturday, August 8 through Monday, August 24 (inclusive).

Operations will resume on Tuesday, August 25, as we continue our commitment to designing and manufacturing solutions for industrial logistics, loading systems and material handling equipment.

We wish you all a wonderful summer holiday and a relaxing break.

We look forward to welcoming you back on August 25!

The ItalyX certification continues to evolve with the introduction of a new tool designed to further strengthen the values of transparency, authenticity and reliability: the new ItalyX certification seal powered by Blockchain technology, now also available for ARMO.

This marks an important step forward for a certification that promotes Italian identity and business excellence. Through the integration of Blockchain technology, it introduces new tools to help guarantee the authenticity and verifiability of certified information.

The new seal represents another milestone in enhancing the value of ARMO’s ItalyX certification. The QR Code linked to the certification will also be available soon, allowing customers, partners and stakeholders to access certified information quickly and easily, with data recorded securely and immutably.

Technology and Transparency in Support of Made in Italy

The integration of Blockchain technology strengthens the value of the ItalyX certification through three key elements: traceability, authenticity and assurance.

The secure and immutable recording of information will make it possible to verify its authenticity over time, while the QR Code will make accessing this information even easier and more immediate.

For ARMO, which is already ItalyX certified, this development represents a further distinguishing feature and reinforces the values that have defined the company for over fifty years: Made in Italy quality, innovation, reliability and an unwavering commitment to meeting customers’ needs.

From the design and manufacture of loading ramps, industrial doors, dock shelters, lifting tables and customised solutions for industrial logistics, ARMO continues to look to the future, building on its Italian identity and embracing tools that strengthen the trust of customers and partners across both domestic and international markets.

The new ItalyX seal powered by Blockchain technology is therefore further evidence of ARMO’s ongoing journey towards a business model in which industrial tradition, technological innovation and transparency move forward together.

A new custom-made ARMO platform demonstrates once again how customisation and careful consideration of operating conditions are essential when designing a solution built to perform reliably over time.

For this particular project, intended for outdoor operation, ARMO developed a specific configuration featuring a metallised protective coating and a stainless steel top plate.

Metallisation is a protective treatment specifically suited to outdoor applications. When a platform is installed outdoors, its structural steelwork is more exposed to weather conditions and therefore requires an appropriate level of protection.

For over 20 years, ARMO has used a special metallisation-based surface treatment cyclefor applications requiring enhanced protection, designed to increase the durability and resistance of the equipment.

For this project, the treatment cycle includes:

  • sandblasting of the structural steelwork;
  • application of a metallised base coat (cold galvanising);
  • two-component epoxy primer;
  • RAL 9007 grey polyurethane finish;

for an overall coating thickness of approximately 150 microns.

The configuration is completed by a stainless steel top plate, a solution particularly well suited to the specific requirements of this installation.

Designing a custom-made platform means taking into account not only its dimensions, load capacity and operating characteristics, but also the environment in which the equipment will operate.

The choice of materials and surface treatments therefore becomes an integral part of the design process, particularly when the installation is exposed to outdoor environmental conditions.

This is the approach we apply to our custom-made lifting platforms: we develop each project around the customer’s actual requirements, identifying the most appropriate technical solutions to ensure strength, reliability and long-term durability.

Custom-made solutions, designed to perform in the real-world conditions in which they will be used.

ARMO has recently completed a major logistics infrastructure project featuring more than 100 loading bays, delivering the entire installation 20 days ahead of the agreed schedule.

This achievement highlights the company’s ability to successfully plan and manage complex projects, coordinating manufacturing, logistics and installation activities to ensure reliable lead times and maximum operational efficiency.

The project included the supply and installation of state-of-the-art dock levellers, industrial sectional doors and dock shelters, all designed to optimize logistics workflows and enhance safety during loading and unloading operations.

Thanks to the seamless integration of these advanced systems, the new logistics hub will benefit from faster goods handling, improved protection against weather conditions and a significant reduction in operational risks for both personnel and vehicles.

Early project completion represents a particularly valuable advantage in an industry where meeting deadlines can directly impact operational start-up and overall facility productivity.

For ARMO, this project once again confirms the value of an integrated approach that combines design, manufacturing and installation, providing customers with a single point of contact capable of managing every stage of the project, from the initial concept through to final commissioning.

With more than 50 years of experience in industrial logistics solutions, ARMO continues to develop innovative technologies that make loading and unloading operations safer, more efficient and more productive, helping businesses strengthen their competitiveness while relying on the excellence of Italian manufacturing.
