Catastrophic Risk Insurance: Armo Leads the Way with Over a Decade of Coverage
On May 30, 2025, Law No. 78 of May 27, 2025, titled “Urgent Measures for Catastrophic Risk Insurance”, was published in Official Gazette No. 124.
The new legislation introduces strict requirements aimed at protecting businesses and citizens from extreme natural events such as earthquakes, floods, landslides, wildfires, and environmental disasters.
Catastrophic insurance is a form of protection that covers the economic damages caused by unpredictable, high-impact events. Today, more than ever—given the effects of climate change—safeguarding corporate assets with natural disaster insurance is essential.
Armo, always committed to safety and business continuity, has been taking proactive steps for over ten years by securing “All Risk” insurance policies, which also cover the majority of catastrophic risks.
In 2024, we further strengthened our approach by commissioning a professional insurance appraisal from Kroll, a company specialized in pre-loss valuations for insurance purposes. This appraisal ensures that, in the event of damage, asset values are pre-established and premiums are calculated based on an agreed valuation.
Through these measures, we reaffirm our commitment to responsible and precise corporate risk management.
